"The Farmers' Markets are great here during the summer months" Here, as well!! I will sorely miss the produce from the markets when winter hits.

That stir-fry looks delicious!

Meg Wolff

Hi Liz,
I will miss them too, but something to look forward to after the winter months. :-)

Hey there - I tried to put a comment next to the guitar pic and it wouldn't let me. I think the guitar in the pic is called a dobro. You may also see it listed as a resonating guitar. I've seen them mainly in bluegrass or folk music. Hope that helps!

meg wolff

Hi Kate,
Thanks for the info on the dobro, or resonating guitar. It was a beauty! Nice hearing from you.

Stirfry is certainly a staple in my house, and mine would have onions, broccoli, and cabbage too. I've seen those dragon beans occasionally here. My favorite beans are the similar green flat beans we call runner beans.

meg wolff

Hi TxVegan,
Onions, broccoli and cabbage sound like a great (and cruciferous) combination. You favorite, the runner beans are tastey. A lot like the "Dragon Beans". From reading your blog it sounds like you are up there on the veggie meter. Me too. :-)

What a colorful and quick stir fry, Meg. So glad we have another few weeks of prime local produce to enjoy these fresh and healthy dishes.

Thanks for joining in MLLA2.

Hi Susan,
Thanks for the reminder about the MLLA2!! I wouldn't miss it! Thanks for hosting. :-)

How incredibly gorgeous, Meg!

Dragon's Lingere is the most poetic name I've ever come across for a humble bean! Lovely dish.

meg wolff

Hi Lucy,
It is a humble bean but one of the best tasting. Thanks.

    T. Colin Campbell: The China Study
It seems everyone wants to know the science behind a plant-based diet. Campbell's book is based on his 40 years of government-funded research. It's the most comprehensive study of nutrition ever conducted and I'd say the most important book about nutrition ever written. I'm proud to note that this amazing researcher wrote the foreword for Becoming Whole.
